A founder of RedLine and its president since 1996, Carolyn is a supercomputing lifer, holding numerous technical certifications and intimate knowledge of the management and integration of HPC systems.
Throughout her career, Carolyn has followed her passion for making supercomputers easier to use and workflows more efficient by providing technical management, planning, installation, integration, and development services for multiple government and commercial clients. Her life’s work has been to help HPC users establish repeatable processes and best practices as architectures evolve.
Prior to founding RedLine, Carolyn was an Advisory Engineer for HPC systems at IBM Federal Systems and then Lockheed Martin, leading support efforts at customer sites, developing parallel applications, and much more.
A cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech, she attended the University of Maryland for her postgraduate work in applied mathematics. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society. Carolyn has resided in Maryland most of her life, but loves the outdoors and travel so you will find her windsurfing in the Caribbean during the winter and hiking in the summer at national parks, or locally with her dogs.
